Smells Like Nirvana

As someone who has spent a lot of time carefully listing to a lot of music, and who appreciates satire i have long enjoyed Weird Al Yankovic. I think he's a genuis. In many cases i have heard his parody of a song far more times than the original song, and with a lot of his parodies from the last 5 or 10 years i have NEVER heard the original! (Yeah, i'm old.)

Genius in France, Bob, Smells Like Nivana are but a few of his jaw droppingly brilliant parodies.

I'm lucky enough to have friends like Aurilee & Javier and yesterday Javier emailed me with an offer of a really good seat at tonight's Weird Al concert at the Puyallup Fair AND an after show meet and greet.

I do have to say, there was a bit of irony in seeing several thousand devoted fans screaming at the every word and move of a guy who has made his carreer on making fun of rock stars and rock fans.

It was a really fun show, he's as good a performer as he is a writer and recording artist. I enjoyed it. And i got to shake hands with him and tell him he's a Genius... in France or anywhere else!
